กรมสรรพากรกำหนดให้การลดหย่อนภาษีจากการบริจาคต้องดำเนินการผ่านระบบ e-Donation เท่านั้น เพื่อให้ท่านสามารถใช้สิทธิลดหย่อนภาษีได้อย่างถูกต้องและรวดเร็ว มูลนิธิฯ จึงมีความจำเป็นต้องขอข้อมูล หมายเลขบัตรประจำตัวประชาชน ของผู้บริจาค เพื่อนำส่งข้อมูลเข้าสู่ระบบของกรมสรรพากรโดยตรง
