Let’s hear from our staff and find out how they work with us and why.
"I am excited to work with World Vision, which is a Christian organisation. It is my honour to serve in God's ministries in helping vulnerable children and their families. Carrying out continued projects together for children, families, and communities will drive World Vision toward success, with God's leadership."
"I was a World Vision Foundation of Thailand's sponsored child when I was a fourth-grader. After I completed my education, I had a chance to apply and work in World Vision. I am proud to be part of the team that brings support from sponsors to vulnerable children, just like how I was helped as a sponsored child."
"The first time I engaged with World Vision was through my church. I taught music lessons to students who stayed in the school dorm that was built with the support of sponsors. I was also a World Vision volunteer working with local youth groups. Later, I have worked as a World Vision Foundation of Thailand's volunteer in Mae Sot district on protecting children at risk to human trafficking until I have finally become a staff member. Until today, I have worked for World Vision Foundation of Thailand for over 15 years. I am proud of working here to pass on opportunities to children, especially the most vulnerable group, to improve their well-being."
"I was supported by World Vision when I was young and absorbed the value of giving and serving. That was how I started working with World Vision Foundation of Thailand. Starting off as a field volunteer, I have worked my way up until today I am a regional field operations coordinator. Through these years of work with World Vision, I have gained an insight of the hardship that vulnerable children and communities must endure. Changes and new challenges are constant. Have trust in our goal with your heart filled with commitment and we will be able to go further than we candream."
"I joined World Vision Foundation of Thailand in 2004 and worked in the Accounting and Finance Department although It was not my intention. My father told me to apply because World Vision is a Christian organisation so that I would be able to work and serve God. I did not know World Vision that much when I started working here. But until today, I have worked at World Vision Foundation of Thailand for 17 years. I have always been excited and rejoiced through these years of my service. I have witnessed many children living in underprivilege and hardship. I thank God for choosing me to serve Him here because I feel that my life is valuable. Children's smiles are something that also encourage me to carry on."
"I had been a sponsored child for 12 years and received educational support from my sponsor. I had gained self-development and educational opportunities until I earned a bachelor's degree. I witnessed how this organisation helped children in communities. Because I had received many opportunities, I would like to be part of the ministry that gives to other children. In 2021, I started as a staff member of World Vision Foundation of Thailand and started to experience another kind of giving. I am also inspired by the development work to serve chidren and the community I live."
"I joined World Vision in 2004 as a contracted project worker and became a staff member in 2006 because I wanted to be part of the work that improves the quality of life of vulnerable children and community members and allow them to have better well-being. I am inspired by working with the community. I have learnt their problems. I am proud of my contributions to solving their problems. The happiness of my work is to see children and their community members smiles."
With proper care and quality education, children will thrive and be able to make a difference to their community, protect themselves from violence and experience life in all its fullness.
There are many good things about working with us. You will have an opportunity to change the lives of children for good.
Besides, we encourage our colleagues to have joy and be inspired by their work. Staff well-being, therefore, is another thing that we prioritise.
