It’s a sad reality that a large number of ‘vulnerable children’ in Thailand and around the world face inequality, poverty, and violence, which are significant obstacles hindering their growth and development.

According to the latest statistics from the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) in 2024, Thailand has a staggering 1,348,735 extremely poor students. The families of these children have an average monthly income of only 1,133 baht, or just 37 Baht per day! Nearly 50% of the parents of these children have only a primary school education, insufficient income for basic living, and face various household problems, including unsafe housing, lack of bathrooms, no electricity, no access to clean water, parental divorce, children abandoned to live with grandparents, and family illnesses or disabilities.
