Who said bathroom is not important? (Read in Thai)

Bathroom is one part of a house that helps us feel more relaxed by letting us relieve ourselves. Realising the important function of this small room, Ms Arunee Sirisomboonwong and Ms Karanee Suanbudh have supported the construction of 11 bathrooms for families of children in World Vision Foundation of Thailand (WVFT)’s Child Sponsorship Programme in Pak Phanang district, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, whose bathrooms were destroyed by the Pabuk storm.

‘Thank you for giving both of us an opportunity to do something good. We’d like to keep being part of something like this’, Ms Arunee said. At the end, she talked to the sponsored child’s family and made a humorous remark, ‘I wish you relieve yourselves happily’.

Aside from the budget support, Ms Arunee and Ms Karanee took a field trip this 9th of June to visit and encourage the children’s families whose bathrooms have been reconstructed.

Thida Phaewsamut, mother of a sponsored child named Piyada, told both of the donors, ‘When the storm struck, the flood was overflowing my head. The bathroom was damaged. After the flood receded, we had no choice but to use our neighbour’s bathroom. Now we’re so happy to have our own. Thank you so much’.

On behalf of the children who have received support and relief response after the Pabuk disaster, WVFT would like to extend our thanks to Ms Arunee Sirisomboonwong and Ms Karanee Suanbudh.
