“I used to get support through scholarship. It was invaluable to me. When I became successful and felt ready to pass on good opportunities to other children, I decided to sign up to be a sponsor,” Nattachai Kruajak, MD, or Dr Bright, talks about his reason for supporting World Vision Thailand’s Child Sponsorship Programme.
He continues, “I have known World Vision Thailand for over 20 years because some of my respected elders served in this organisation. I learned how they worked and saw their dedication and commitment to helping children. I was impressed by this. It was so beautiful. That is why I have decided to support World Vision Thailand.”
Dr Nattachai Kruajak is currently the acting director and manager of Overbrook Hospital. He is a sponsor who has given opportunities to a vulnerable child through the Child Sponsorship Programme for more than 11 years.

When asked about his 11 years of child sponsorship journey, Dr Bright smiles and says, “I was impressed from the beginning, when I received the child’s introductory letter from World Vision Thailand.
“I remember that he was in Grade 1 at that time. I was impressed. It was as if I had another child who I would care for. I am waiting to see his success. I hope that he is thriving. Especially, when I read his letter telling me that he received school supplies, went to school and did different activities. Knowing that he is happy, I am happy for him too.”
The joy of witnessing life transformation
As a sponsor, Dr. Bright has witnessed his sponsored child’s life transformation and development. Happiness does not happen only to the receiver but the giver also experiences the joy of seeing his sponsored child smile, access education, reach his development milestones and enjoy good health. He shares that his heart as a sponsor is fulfilled.
“I am proud to know that my contributions are helping my sponsored child and his family have a better life. It makes me even happier,” says Dr Bright.
