In November 2025, WorldVisionThailand, as the Principal Recipient (PR) of the Stop TB and AIDS through RRTTPR (STAR 2024-2026) project, joined the Global Fund Oversight Committee (OC) in visiting a project site under the Global Fund TB programme in Songkhla Province. The purpose was to review the progress of the local-level implementation and listen to challenges, obstacles, and recommendations from healthcare providers and community workers.
This field visit aimed to emphasise the vital role of civil society, particularly Stella Maris (STM), which serves as a Sub-recipient, as well as the work of multidisciplinary teams in caring for TB patients, conducting proactive screening, and deploying Mobile X-ray units among key populations. These efforts are designed to ensure systematic and effective access to TB and HIV prevention and treatment.
The collaboration between Songkhla Provincial Public Health Office, civil society organisations, and local multidisciplinary teams reflects a strong commitment to sustainably ending TB and AIDS, in line with the STAR project’s goal of building an inclusive and accessible health service system for all.
