World Vision Foundation of Thailand is continuing its work to improve the quality of life for more than 4 million children and families across Thailand through integrated approaches that sustainably address inequalities in education, health, child protection, climate change, and poverty.
Throughout more than 50 years, World Vision Foundation of Thailand has worked alongside children, families, and communities in vulnerable areas across Thailand to create opportunities and improve their quality of life. However, the challenges facing children in Thailand today are increasingly complex, stemming from economic, social, and environmental factors. This has led to a new strategy focused on transforming ‘hope’ into ‘tangible results’ in the lives of children and their communities.
Results generated between 2021 and 2025
Throughout 2021-2025, the World Vision Foundation of Thailand achieved tangible results in multiple areas, including supporting over 706,200 vulnerable children with development and education initiatives, more than 238,365 youth through youth development programs, over 260,000 children, youth, and their caregivers with child protection services, and assisting over 417,000 children and vulnerable populations in disaster relief and rehabilitation. Additionally, their advocacy and policy efforts reached a total of 9.8 million people.
Creating a better future for children through collaboration across all sectors.
Prof. Dr. Boonchai Hongcharu , Chairman of the Board of Directors of the World Vision Foundation of Thailand, stated, “Building a better future for children is not the responsibility of a single organization, but a shared responsibility of all sectors of society. When children are given opportunities, Thailand’s future will be stronger. For over the past 50 years, the World Vision Foundation of Thailand has worked alongside children, families, and vulnerable communities throughout the country, guided by the belief that every child is valuable and deserves a chance at a good life. The success we have achieved to date is not simply measured by the number of people we have helped, but by the positive changes in the lives of children, families, and communities. Success is not just about numbers; it is about children returning to school, families regaining hope, and communities becoming more resilient. However, the increasingly complex challenges of today’s world demand new approaches and collaborations in our work with children, leading to the development of a strategy under the Bold Hope framework. This is not merely an operational plan, but a collaborative framework that empowers all sectors to work together to create lasting change. Bold Hope is more than just aspiration; it’s a call to action, enabling us to Make Hope Real and build a brighter future for children. By 2030, the World Vision Foundation of Thailand aims to improve the well-being of at least 4 million children, with a particular focus on the most vulnerable and disadvantaged, while indirectly reaching over 12 million children and more than 3.3 million adults, including caregivers, through programs in 57 targeted areas across 35 provinces nationwide.”
Four million children represent four million hopes.

Our goal of sustainably improving the quality of life of 4 million children within their families and communities represents 4 million lives, 4 million hopes, and 4 million opportunities – all of which World Vision Foundation of Thailand must address through a strategic plan aligned with this significant undertaking.”
4 Key Strategies for Children and Communities
The strategy for 2026-2030 will be driven by an integrated framework with four key pillars:
1. Education and Life Skills
Promote access to quality education for children and youth, reduce the risk of school dropout, and develop life skills and the skills needed for employment and social engagement.
2. Child Protection
Strengthen child protection systems within communities, promote fundamental rights, and prevent violence, exploitation, and all forms of threats, including threats in the online environment.
3. Health and Nutrition
Promote maternal and child health, support optimal nutrition, disease prevention, health promotion, and mental well-being to build a strong foundation for long-term quality of life.
4. Climate Change, Environment, and Livelihoods (ESCA & Livelihoods)
Strengthen community resilience to disasters and climate change, support sustainable livelihoods, and promote the conservation and restoration of natural resources.
Scale up our work for nationwide impact.
The Foundation will focus on expanding its child development work in the 13 most vulnerable provinces, while continuing operations in other areas as part of its mission. This will be achieved through collaboration with partners and networks, evidence-based decision-making, and the application of digital technology to improve efficiency and scale impact.
Furthermore, the organization prioritizes the use of information and technology as a key driver for management, monitoring and evaluation, and continuous improvement. This is coupled with personnel development, transparent resource allocation, and collaboration with all stakeholders to deliver more effective outcomes and broaden the positive impact on Thai children, families, and communities in a sustainable manner.
Because sustainable change starts with turning ‘hope’ into ‘action.’ When everyone works together, the hopes of 4 million children can become a reality.
