On 28 April 2026, the World Vision Foundation of Thailand, in partnership with global fintech company WeTrade, officially launched the child sponsorship project “Building Brighter Futures, Together.” The initiative aims to support vulnerable and underprivileged children in Bueng Khong Long District, Bueng Kan Province, marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration dedicated to sustainable change.
This launch represents the first step in a lasting partnership committed to driving systematic improvements in the lives of children, families, and communities—ensuring that the impact extends well beyond immediate assistance.
Harnessing the Power of Technology to Create Life-Changing Opportunities
At the heart of this collaboration is WeTrade’s vision to leverage its organizational capabilities beyond business success.
“WeTrade is a global fintech company focused on providing accessible financial services and connecting people to opportunities worldwide,” said Mr. Mario Pashardes, International Sales Director of WeTrade.
As a technology-driven organization, WeTrade is committed to innovation not only in financial services, but also in social development. This commitment has led to the expansion of its social impact initiatives through WeCare by WeTrade, a platform dedicated to ongoing humanitarian efforts including disaster relief, child support, and development of schools in underserved areas.
The direction of “Aligning growth with responsibility” has become a key driving force behind WeTrade’s partnership with World Vision Foundation of Thailand.
A Shared Mission for Access and Sustainable Development
In its search for a long-term initiative capable of creating meaningful and lasting impact, WeTrade found strong alignment with World Vision Thailand—an organization renowned for its holistic, community-centered approach to child development. “We were inspired by World Vision’s community-driven initiatives and believe that our goal of expanding access aligns closely with their holistic approach,” Mr.Pashardes shared.
World Vision Thailand also recognized the broader significance of this partnership. “Through this child sponsorship program, children will gain access to education, healthcare, and protection, while families and communities are empowered to better support them. This is not only about providing help today, but about building a better future that endures,” said Ms. Rosalin Kowae, National Director of the World Vision Foundation of Thailand, underscoring that collaboration is the heart of true development.
Building Holistic Support for Children to Thrive
The alignment of these two organizations has forged a partnership with a clear and shared mission: to enable children to reach their full potential through holistic development. The program focuses on key areas—education, health, nutrition, child protection, and overall well-being—while also strengthening families and communities to ensure lasting progress.
Children will have the opportunity to continue their education, enjoy better health and nutrition, and grow up in safer environments. At the same time, families become more resilient, and communities are better equipped to provide sustainable care for their children.
Ms. Rosalin Kowae added: “This collaboration is truly meaningful, because we believe that no single organization can create lasting change on its own. True transformation requires all of us—every heart—coming together under a shared vision: that every child deserves a complete and meaningful life.”
Initiative Today, A Lasting Change Tomorrow
Child sponsorship is a mission that takes time. Change unfolds gradually through consistent, long-term support. The first year of this partnership marks the beginning of a journey toward meaningful and enduring development.
“We hope the children will continue to learn, grow, and believe in themselves . We are grateful to be part of their journey,” Mr. Pashardes said in closing.
Looking ahead, WeTrade and World Vision Thailand share a common vision: to expand the reach of their collaboration and create broader, long-term impact. For both organizations, change is not a short-term goal—it is an investment in the future of society.
This marks only the first step of a journey—a journey that will continue to grow as the seeds planted today take root, shaping brighter futures for children and driving meaningful change for communities in the years to come.
